Birthday Lollipop

I had some fun with this Elevated Envelope exchange so when Tanuki mentioned she would like an envelope like it, it was the perfect excuse for me to make something like it again.

It was Tanuki's birthday some weeks ago but I wasn't in the least bit prepared so sent this a little late
A friend saw my elevated envelope lollipops and told me she wanted something like it. As its her birthday I decided to make a #cake #present and #balloon #icelolly. The #cupcake is the address label. As you can see I included #birthday #confetti for this
I had so much fun doodling birthday things for the lollipop and then adding all the extras. The little cupcake is the address label...

Its such a simple but effectively fun thing to create :)

And theres still more...

This was the first birthday presents that I received 3 weeks ago. It arrived on a perfect evening as I really needed cheering up after a super long day at work due to parents evening and some other problems.
The biggest package I ever receivedMy first birthday presents but it's not my birthday yet so we can't look
I was really good and allowed myself to only open one thing which turned out to be the perfect thing to use on my reply to the wonderful letter that I was able to sit and read that day. Here's a sneaky peek at the paper and tape that I used even though I know my friend will pop by at some point to read this but hopefully it will just make the letter all that more exciting to receive.
This is one of my favourite letter sets, my writing looks great on itTape
This has to be one of the nicest sets that I've had the chance to write on as it had just the right amount of lines with equal spacing on each sheet. I thought it did justice to my writing which usually I hate.

Anyway I better get on and show you what I was a lucky person to receive. I got super duper spoilt here and even the wrapping paper was too beautiful to open.

As I mentioned I opened one thing but in order for the spaces to be filled I had to add the tape back in so just roughtly wrapped it... you'll understand in a minute why I use the flower one....

Drool away because these are as wonderful as they look. I still can't believe they are mine. I received a collage set, 3 letter sets, 1 flower tape, 1  super soft hand towel and 2 sticker sacks all in the theme of roses.

When writing once I mentioned on one or two occasions I've ended up sending themed presents as I had letter sets that matched the object that I had chosen. So my friend decided to create a themed package for me and I just loved it.

Of course it didn't end here... don't be silly I'm being spoilt!

I decided to leave this packaged as it is so that I can use it when I have a house. I haven't bought any mugs yet so this is a start.

Last of all the wonderful card!

I couldn't thank you enough for such a wonderful and cheerful package. Now I need to think of something wonderful for you. It's going to be a tough one.

Have you received or sent themed presents before?

It's Today!!

It's not today but I love this stamp #birthday #rubberstamp
I aren't doing anything exciting for the day which is nothing new as its like any other day for me but with presents. We do usually get a take away and someone turns up with a cake but this year neither will happen due to fasting. The take away won't be worth it with only being able to eat a small amount and the cake will just have a quarter taken out of it and then left to be moved from A to B then eventually thrown in the bin (my chocolate boxes are still sat closed would you believe!). I said we'll do something after fasting has ended as its also my wedding anniversary whilst fasting too. Next year will be the same but probably the year after won't... we'll have to see!

First the packages and cards arrived. I never imagined that I'd receive so many as I don't send things to all friends anymore and I keep telling myself I need to stop completely as I can't do things in small doses which isn't fair on my friends.

The friend who sent me these knows that I love altering things as she's sent me boxes and other such bits and pieces in the past. She always spoils me so much with what she sends. I already had so many ideas of what I was going to do when I came online to find a lovely e-mail from her and a link to explain my present to me. I have to share it with you as it may encourage you to buy some to try but remember you need to put your tea light candles inside a glass jar first in order not to burn the bag. Here's the link. Its now another project I can add to my list.

I absolutely love Morning Glory characters and prints but its so hard to come by Korean stationery these days. It was hard when I first became aware of Morning Glory but there were still bits and pieces that you could find but now its like they have disappeared off the face of the earth. So when this friend wrote to me on some Blue Bear paper I told her I was glad she did as I love it. So imagine my surprise when I opened this present and there was a pad for me. Its going to take me a long time to use this one as I won't want to part with it. She also matched the pen colours with it as I usually write in the colours that I can see on the paper but for some time I've stopped doing that as I can't seem to find the right pens anymore as I can only write with fine ones. If she'd stopped at this I would have felt spoilt but she went even further and sent me a tape and note cards which I'll use for make my day notes.

This one was wrapped but its the first thing I opened as it was on the top and realised I wanted to photograph everything. Its a really cute bag and wallet, you can never have too many bags right?  I love these little dolls and its such a cute print.

This arrived in the second box with my tapes. It was a super spoiling box as I got a letter and lots of brochures for a place my friend is staying in at the moment. I loved looking at everything and can't wait to use some of the things. So you can see a notebook,  pen, pen topper, pencil case/make up bag, a self control keyring (I really need that as I can only stay patient for so long), a badge, a book light which I can attach to my kindle cover so I can now read when its dark, a butterfly glow lights and a pig rubber and pencil.

Last of all plenty of cards from everyone. I haven't photographed all of them so please don't be upset if yours isn't there. My niece told me the blue pen closest the spine is my name, the blue blob is an apple. She told me off the other day for making a green apple when apples are red, I asked about her blue one which she suddenly looked upset about... oops! You've also got the sunshine at the top (she usually draws faces in them) and her name along the bottom... I can't believe she's growing up so quickly as she's 3 already. Its weird to think she'll be reading and writing soon as she's already drawing cute little people.

This isn't the last of my birthday post. You'll have to come back to see the rest tomorrow as it would end up too photo heavy otherwise.

Thank you so much my dear friends for such wonderful gifts.
Enjoy your Saturday!

A night out....

Going out tonight
At work there have been some whispers about someone celebrating their 35th birthday and I actually get along with that person on an ok level so was a bit surprised that I wasn't asked. Come this morning, I did get an invite as she just didn't have the opportunity to ask me on my own which is true as I hardly see anyone at work as you just end up stuck in your classes all day.
Nandos
We went to Nando's. I've never been before so was quite curious as I'd heard that their food is really good but expensive. The figure in the middle is someone from work and walking up she looked like a black silhouette so I assumed it was a statue. I was then so focused on taking this photo I walked past her and she couldn't understand why I didn't see her.
Baskets
They pre booked a space for us but it was horrible in the sense that where we were sitting  we ended up split in to 4 groups and couldn't talk to anyone. Everyone there was someone I didn't mind talking to so that was a shame. Otherwise the actual spot wasn't that bad and we were sat near these hanging baskets (and the toliets!)
Food
I ordered chips and a Vege Burger even though its a meaty joint but I'm used to the fillet burgers we've had in the past as a take away and they are just so fat and chompy that I don't like them. I didn't want to end up spending £10 on something I didn't like. I still can't believe how expensive it is as this cost me £9.40! For the first time in my life I think I will suffer from heartburn because even though I asked for medium spices I'm sure they gave me a hot one as I felt it stick to my insides straight away. I didn't have a dessert as I think I spent enough on my main meal but I would have loved to have tried their Gelato as I've read about it on a lot of your blogs but never tried the almost original thing.
Hollywood bowls
On my way back to the car and its raining, we didn't want rain as we're taking the children to the park tomorrow.

I should be going out again to celebrate a 50th Birthday in my holidays so I'll have to see what's decided then as it will probably just be 3 of us.

Have you been out for a nice meal lately?

Today was the Day....

Cards
I don't normally find greeting cards very inspiring but today when I went to the supermarket with my sister I saw these and really liked the idea behind them. They were un-usual and quite fun from the usual rectangle flat shaped ones.

I only went along as my mums friend had organised a table top event at a centre so for some support we went along but it was actually really tacky with a hint of elegant.... there were those stalls that didn't have enough items and what they had was so badly organised so it looked really ugly but then there were 3 stalls that were so nicely done up but were lost in the ugliness of the event. It truely was disappointing as our eyes just swept over the whole thing and we ended up back outside to enjoy the sun instead. I really was looking forward to finding some usual and fun items. My mum's friends stall was really nice but it was the wrong time of year for it as she had lots of really cute knitted baby items and shawls but with a heatwave going on its the last thing people were going to think about. I saw a quilt that I loved but for some reason I had a brain freeze when it came to my card pin number and I couldn't remember it to take my money out... after 2 attempts I decided not to carry on as it would have blocked my card. I'm going to ask her about it later as I've always wanted a patchwork quilt.... still I've also told myself that I'm not allowed to buy anymore household items until I actually get a house and so far I've been really good.

Its been a really nice week with having a heatwave, being able to spend more time outdoor but even better is that I haven't had to cook once as my mum has been doing it. I feel so spoilt as my mum very very rarely cooks. I hope it lasts!

It was my younger brothers birthday on Thursday but we didn't celebrate it until today with a cake, Pizza and my niece continuely singing happy birthday to him... it was so cute! I've told him he'll have to pretend its his birthday everyday.
#cake #slice #chocolate #birthday
This cake really annoyed me not being in the centre. My family keep laughing at me taking photos but my younger brother asked me to take this one for him to post on his facebook!
Hypercrite :)!

Did you have a nice day today?
