You can never have enough...

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that Angoo-Mart were offering 20% off and I just couldn't ignore it as I've bought tapes like mad this year so when I had the chance to get a little money off I couldn't let it pass by...

The package arrived this week and I did attempt to blog about it but my photos at the time were first being a pain in having to many shiny bits on and then would not transfer over from Flickr properly in that they weren't rotated the right way. Something just clicked in my mind to stick them all in a collage and show you that way and its worked so finally you have a blog post....

Isn't there just something fascinating about postmarks and foreign language text that makes no sense at all? Well I think so anyway! I also got a little free gift which was really nice of them to send.

I wanted deco tapes with the theme of hearts, flowers and fruit to match the many letter sets that I own a long with a hint of Paris. I would have loved more star tapes but I just didn't see anything that caught my eye. As for the Washi Tape which all came in plastic boxes I just wanted all of them but narrowed it down to these and I can't wait to now start crafting with them mostly but occasionally using them on my letters. I now need to be good and not buy anymore tapes... lets see if I can!

Did you end up putting in an order also?

How are you?

#flower #orange
I hope that you'll all have a great week!
Time just seems to be flying by as usual and this is the last week of Ramadan.
Have you got any plans for the week?

Desktop Background Images....

I'm curious to know what image you have on your desktop background. I used to have a photo of my niece but this year I had to reboot the whole system on my laptop that I never got back around to changing it back until I came across Geninne's Blog. At the beginning of each month she posts a calendar for your desktop which is so pretty that you just can't help but want to use it. She's now got me so addictive that for the last couple of months I've starred at her work morning and evening. She is so inspiring to me, I love all her little bits and pieces around the house but most of all I would love to own her rubber stamps.

Here are some of her desk top background images....
I could keep showing you all of them, maybe you would like to use this months as your desktop background too as its so summery. There's no chance of you getting bored and with me my niece enjoys looking at them too as I point out all the birthdays and other events coming up.

Geninne's also got a book coming out soon too. Its pays to be great at having such an inspirational mind.

So What desktop background do you have?

And theres still more...

This was the first birthday presents that I received 3 weeks ago. It arrived on a perfect evening as I really needed cheering up after a super long day at work due to parents evening and some other problems.
The biggest package I ever receivedMy first birthday presents but it's not my birthday yet so we can't look
I was really good and allowed myself to only open one thing which turned out to be the perfect thing to use on my reply to the wonderful letter that I was able to sit and read that day. Here's a sneaky peek at the paper and tape that I used even though I know my friend will pop by at some point to read this but hopefully it will just make the letter all that more exciting to receive.
This is one of my favourite letter sets, my writing looks great on itTape
This has to be one of the nicest sets that I've had the chance to write on as it had just the right amount of lines with equal spacing on each sheet. I thought it did justice to my writing which usually I hate.

Anyway I better get on and show you what I was a lucky person to receive. I got super duper spoilt here and even the wrapping paper was too beautiful to open.

As I mentioned I opened one thing but in order for the spaces to be filled I had to add the tape back in so just roughtly wrapped it... you'll understand in a minute why I use the flower one....

Drool away because these are as wonderful as they look. I still can't believe they are mine. I received a collage set, 3 letter sets, 1 flower tape, 1  super soft hand towel and 2 sticker sacks all in the theme of roses.

When writing once I mentioned on one or two occasions I've ended up sending themed presents as I had letter sets that matched the object that I had chosen. So my friend decided to create a themed package for me and I just loved it.

Of course it didn't end here... don't be silly I'm being spoilt!

I decided to leave this packaged as it is so that I can use it when I have a house. I haven't bought any mugs yet so this is a start.

Last of all the wonderful card!

I couldn't thank you enough for such a wonderful and cheerful package. Now I need to think of something wonderful for you. It's going to be a tough one.

Have you received or sent themed presents before?

My turn now...

Yesterday I showed you thing that I would be giving to people and today I decided to share with you some of the things that I have received mostly from children...
Cards
A handful of 'Thank You' cards, shop bought and handmade which were just so sweet, I could have cried.
FlowersFlowers
I received 2 bunches of flowers which were exactly the same which is a good thing as I just put them both together to make a bigger bunch. I also received another pot of flowers which I really liked and I can't wait to keep it growing like my Roses one. I really now need to get a house to store all these wonderful plants in.
Chocolate
I received way too much chocolate but I'm not complaining as next year I'll be lucky if I get anything at all. With Ramadan hopefully starting on Saturday they will take forever to get eaten.

I also got a mug which I forgot to photograph and I'm too lazy to get up and do it now.
Book
The background paper is cute don't you think, it looks so oriental and I'll have to think of something to be able to craft with it. I received this book from the teacher I worked with which sounds so interesting but its a little like wreck this journal in that some aspects of it are childish but I don't care as I know I'll have fun practising my drawing skills and relaxing. It would have made a nice cut out and keep idea for each area too. Like looking up different cushions, lamps etc... for your rooms to co-ordinate. Someone asked to see the inside on my Instagram so I took some photos of that too...
@inelegance84 the inside has different rooms
Tasks
Tomorrow is my last day and I can't wait as I'm truely and utterly exhausted. For the first time in ages I slept all night and was rudely awoken by my alarm clock at 6am for my niece. I really could have kept sleeping.

I'm really not looking forward to September which makes it worse knowing my holidays will soon fly by.

Are you going on holiday this summer or will you be lucky enough to have some time off too?

P.S My cups were a hit!

Lister Park

Lister Park used to be the home of Samuel Lister and was left to the council I'm guess when he died. His home is used as an art gallery and the grounds as a park and garden. I'm only going to show you half the park today as I didn't get the chance to go to all the areas on this day.
I told my niece this was my house and she kept referring to it as thatUntitledUntitledUntitled
You already know that I absolutely love old buildings and maybe you can understand why with all that beautiful detail carved into the building. I imagine those workers took such pride in making this house  but also the mill further up the road which is also an impressive building with a huge chimney which can be seen for miles.

The door used to be the entrance to the cafe but now that they have built the boat house there is no longer any use for it which I think is a shame as the area outside it is like a huge balcony or terrace so I can imagine there being a couple of tables outside to enjoy a nice 'high tea'. The boat house could offer more of the burger etc... style food. Typical Bradfordian style though, they just abandon a good thing.

This is the boat house with an eating area inside and out, toilets and other bits and pieces. I think it does add some characters to the lake though.

I would have loved to have taken my niece around the lake but I was really wary of time as I had to get her back for when her parents turned up to get her. Still we managed to see some funny ducks with their bottom in the air and the white duck came over to see what was going ok. I've ended up ordering the photos like this as it looks like the white duck had something to say before swimming away.

The lake isn't the only watery area in the park, this fountain garden was built about 10 years ago to add a little something to the park. Along with using the stream in the Botanical Garden to create an oriental looking area which is beautiful. Plus many waterfalls. I only stayed in one quarter of the park but if I ever get the chance to go again soon I'll definitely visit that end so that I can share it with you.
UntitledUntitledUntitled
I could have taken a million photos of just the benches as there's something about benches in general that I really like. The last one has been paid for by a family whose relationship has died and the carving is in memory of them.  I also weirdly have a thing about litter bins, I love the style of the blue one above at the refreshment place but I also really like the  litter bin outside the park too. I'll have to weird and take a photo of one so you can see what a litter bin in Bradford looks like.

Of course we had to admire some of the pretty flowers. I just really wish it would stop raining and its being a pain in the backside with my project. I've ended up with 2 really soggy envelopes because of it but I'm just carrying on as if the weather is brilliant as people still need cheering up.

This is one of my favourite places to visit. I've done well to visit 2 of them within a couple of days.

What are some of your places to visit?

Flowers.....

I received some beautiful flowers

Ready to be re-potted
The teacher that I work with had a student in to train and Friday was her last day so she gave me this beautiful pot of Roses. The only thing is it took me so long to get around to taking them out they've started going brown. I need to now go and get a pot to replant it as I hope to grow this one as it would be a shame to let it die. I'm not green fingered though so I'll have to see what happens.

Are you green fingered? Maybe you have some advice!

Spring has finally sprung...

Chalk drawing and bubbles of fun!
Spring is once again in the air,
I accidentally broke my nieces bubble aeroplane so bought this bubble machine and hate it. Its so noisy but also all the bubbles clump together if moved around which is a pain so I'm going to keep an eye out for another bubble blower. We enjoyed the sun by having bubbles surrounding us and drawing with chalk on the pavement, it so much fun!
Good morning Khala a present for you!
I forgot to share these flowers she bought me the other day, it was so sweet but I really need to remember to put them in my flower press. Its the downside to working all day and coming home to just wanting to rest.

She accidently burnt her foot on an iron today, luckily not badly but I feel such an idiot for not paying more attention. She was sat on my desk chair which I moved so that I could iron my clothes, she was cross about it so sulked off and went on to my bed wanting to look out of the window which I had to tell her off about as she could easily fall out. I put everything back except the chair and started getting changed, she pulled the chair into the right place and sat down so skimmed her foot on the iron which was under my desk. It hurt her but she made out it hadn't and I couldn't see it until I put some Savlon on and it started swelling.  I hope that it will be ok.
I bought some new clothes today as I needed something for the jubilee celebrations at work. This is the scarf
I bought a new outfit today as on Friday we will be celebrating the Queens Jubilee. I tried finding a red and white outfit as I have some blue jewellery but I couldn't find anything in all the shops I went to. It's one of the reasons I didn't blog yesterday, I was just so tired, I'd actually gone out with my husband as he wanted some new sandals but didn't like anything so I got a little cross with him, saying he wasn't going on a catwalk and just to buy a pair. The problem is all the shops more of less sell the same thing so obviously all the other men out there are wearing them too. Anyway  in the end I went to Bradford Bazaar and bought this one. My mum was with me at the time and I asked her opinion and didn't get it... now I've bought it she's complaining I paid too much! With Pakistani/Indian sellers you have to haggle even in this country, I hate it. The picture is of the scarf, the rest is fairly plain but I really like it.... its a few shades of blue and white, not pink as the photo seems to come across as.

The weather is amazing but they say by Thursday its going to rain... I hope not as we are going to my favourite park for a David Hockney event. Still I want this week over and done with as we have holidays next week and I can't wait. I don't know yet how I'll spend it as it all depends on the weather.

What's the weather like where you are?
