A little something extra....

I was waiting for a friends letter to arrive and when it did it came in a box with many presents. I assumed they were for Christmas but they just turned out to be a general gift of little and big things that my friend picked up on her many adventures across Europe... so it was really nice to be able to sit and open all these gift...

There weren't just gifts though but

 

my first ever notebook letter and every page was filled. I actually picked it up thinking it was a diary so was amazed when I realised what it was. I really enjoyed sitting and reading it.

Right at the bottom of the box was this little surprise to find too...

I love the un-usual shape of the first card and those chocolates had me drooling, those lush green fields... well I'm sure you got the idea.

Since I thought the presents were Christmas ones I didn't open them straight away but on telling my friend that I hadn't she told me to so I did and this is what was inside all those wonderful parcels...

Craft supplies which will get used over the years, a pencil tin and a little something for when I get a house.

That isn't all though... I know! I was truly spoilt but I usually am by my friends. Are you ready to see this next one? I hope so....

Snail Mail related rubber stamps, string, airmail mini envelopes and these are just some of the amazing Paris related vintage photos that I received.... such a great selection of items...

 

The washi tape I received in exchange for some other tape and I think I got the better deal as these are just so pretty.

 

I need to make time this weekend to get my act together in order to use some of these things but then again I have a week left after this one when my holidays start so I may do something then, after all I'll have two weeks of blissful fun....

 

Seeing packages like this will make me miss receiving them as I've told all my friends that from next year I won't be exchanging gifts on birthdays and Christmas anymore but I may occasionally surprise them through out the year... I'll have to see as I can't help buying things when I see them for a friend.
