Kathryn Erskine ~Mockingbird~

Read: On Kindle
Paid: 99p
Reason I choose it: It was part of one of the Amazon sales and it sounded interesting.

Summary
Caitlin is a 10 year old girl who has Asperger's Syndrome, her mum died when she was young and her brother is shot and killed at a school shooting. Her dad has so much to deal with that he relays on the school to help with any issues that Caitlin has.... friendship, coming to term with her brothers death, emotions, etc.....She manages to help people deal with the mass shooting and loss in her own special way whilst trying to find her own answers to situations she has to deal with.

My Opinion
When I first started this book I thought I'd made a mistake and it was going to be another bad read as it feels like it starts in the middle of nowhere instead of leading up to the first chapter. Like always though I continued reading and I'm glad I did as it was a really good book which makes you understand a lot more how much children have to deal with that we don't know about but even more what its a little bit like for children with Asperger's.
