Project: Photo A Day

With it being the last day of this month I decided it was best to post the last of my photo a day challenge today. I have had so much fun with it and it will be weird not thinking up new things each day so I may one day do this again, I'll have to see as I've got quite a few projects in mind that I'd like to do.

Day 26: 12 o'clock
Day 26: 12 o'clock
I had just finished putting my washing out and was about to start writing a letter...

Day 27: Something Sweet
Day 27: Something Sweet #photoadaymay
This I bought for my niece as she asks for a Gingerbread Man every time we go shopping. I don't always get her one and I think she only wants one because she likes the book.

Day 28: The Weather Today
Day 28: the weather today
It was 15c at 7.30am so my niece and I were outside with the bubble machine. Its still really warm despite us finally getting some rain.

Day 29: A Number
Day 29: numbers
It's sometimes worth it to work in a school!

Day 30: Your Personality
Day 29
I'm comparing myself to an ice-cream! Colourful, Generous, Full of Surprises, Creative but the brick work tells you of me being dull and disjointed in places.

Day 31: Something Beautiful
Day 30: Something Beautiful
The children went to my favourite park today and I thought I might sneak a quick photo of the building in as something beautiful but it just rained all day so I was glad that the very first thing I'd got a photo of was this even though it wasn't quite how I wanted it. I still think its beautiful even with the giant puddle.

What are your plans for the weekend?

By the way if you're interested in doing this Photo a Day Challenge

Project: Photo A Day

Only one more week left to go, I can't believe how quickly this month has flown by. Considering they said that May was going to be our wettest month, its proved everyone wrong by us suddenly having the best heatwave... its absolutely brilliant and I spent a lot of time outside these last couple of days.

Day 19: A Favourite Place
Desk
My bedroom always was and hopefully always will be my little place to get away from it all. It isn't as much as it used to be with my husband going to bed so early but at least I get most weekends to myself to still enjoy that me time.

Day 20: Something you can't live without
#tea & #biscuits we used to share one pack between 4 of us and loved looking at the pictures on each one. Great memories!
Tea and biscuits is something that we have grown up on. These biscuits are ones we ate tonnes of that my dad ended up buying boxes full of packets rather then just a couple of packets. My sister used to share out each pack equally and it was fun to see what pictures we got. I never ate them for years until my recently. They don't taste how I remember but I still like them and now its my niece who enjoys looking at the sporty pictures.

Day 21: Where you Stand
Day 21: where I stand
I went to the post office and this is the area around the ballroom.

Day 22: Pink
Day 22: Pink #photoadaymay
I honestly didn't know what to do for this as I don't have all that much that is pink and I wanted something a little different to footwear and clothes. It wasn't until I got to work that I noticed these flowers through the railings so when I finished work I took this photo. These really stand out around all the green that was there.

Day 23: Technology
Day 23: Technology
Transport is a wonderful thing. This is my younger brothers car.

Day 24: Something New
Day 24: something new #photoadaymay #day24
I went to look at school shoes the other day and whilst at the store I phoned my sister to see if she wanted me to get my niece some new school shoes as the ones she was wearing were a right state. She told me not to as she had a pair at home so I didn't. On Monday my sister comes saying that she hadn't realised how bad her school shoes were but also that the pair she had were too big. She didn't ask me to buy anymore but in her way made me feel I should go back and get her some so I did. My niece saw these shoes on the shelf and wanted to put them on, so with her inside out socks and sandy feet I put these on and they are just so cute...

Day 25: Unusual
Day 25: Something unusual. I'm so disappointed I'll be at work so can't take part as we never do anything for events around here
The Queens Jubilee is going to be an un-usual event. This is going on right on my doorstep but I'll be at work that day so can't take part. Its a shame as they hardly ever organise events around here.

Project: Photo a Day

I really can not believe how quickly 11 days have flown by as I only started this last week which makes it all that more difficult to get my brain around.

I am really enjoying this Photo a Day even though I'm disappointed when searching the entries that not everyone takes photos themselves but use ones from the internet to make them up. It just shows that you can take part in anyway you want if you aren't able to see the thing that fits in correctly.

Day 5: Bird(s)
Day:5 birds
I went in to the city that day and would you believe I didn't see a single bird! I wasn't sure what I was going to photograph until by chance I went into WHSmith and noticed a whole range of address books with birds on and at that time I didn't realise that I was only meant to have a 'bird' as there were some with just one but my favourite was this one which is why I choose it to photograph.

Day 6: Fun
Spoon people
We went from colouring to doodling and my niece asked me to draw around her toy spoon. I did this and started doodling faces and clothes on to them. She asked me to draw some more and she created these above which are so cute... it was a lot of fun and we had a lot of laughs. This book was an old diary I had but didn't get to use as I got one as a gift too. I stuck Christmas cards randomly on the pages which my niece loved and enjoyed using until this week that is when I accidently dropped my tea cup on the table and it spilled everywhere. I had to buy her a new one, she wanted pink with princesses on but nothing was suitable so we ended up with green with princess stickers on.

Day 7: Someone that inspires you!
Day7: Someone that inspired you!
She inspires me to bake, try new crafts, go places when I'm so tired, relax at the library.... This photo is now my wallpaper on my phone.

Day 8: A smell that you adore
Day 8: A smell you adore
I could actually think of a lot of smells that I adore but they were just not available... the smell of baking, ripe fruit, flowers, freshly cut grass, line dryed clothes...... this is what I have in my handbag at the moment because of its size. Its a smell that I knew I would like as its one my sister wears so I associate it with her... I have to be careful with perfumes because some are just so strong and could have my nose and eyes streaming in seconds so perfume wouldn't have been my first choice.

Day 9: Something you do Everyday
Day 9 something you do everyday
I decided to go with the first thing I see when I wake up to the last thing I see at night as I look at this clock often enough... On the morning of taking this photo the sun was streaming in and I thought I'd overslept so forced myself to open my eyes and it was 6.04am...grrr... I didn't sleep after that for clock watching. As for my glasses I could not survive without them as I'm short sighted.

Day 10: Favourite Word
Day 10: favourite word
is such a simple word to describe so much....

Day 11: Kitchen
Crumpets
My older brother works nights so some days he isn't quite asleep when I get up so will come down to spend some time with our niece but also to eat whatever he can find in the cupboards. There was even a day when he ate my sandwiches that I've made for work as he thought they looked so good.... one day this week he woke up and I ended up making us both crumpets which our younger brother had bought but thankfully he didn't mind us doing that.

Project: Photo A Day

In March I had seen this photo a day and had really wanted to take part in it but by then my laptop was acting up so I decided to leave it and I'm glad I did as after that time I got my iphone. I've always wanted to do one of these but have never got around to it so decided that ever Friday I'll post a weeks worth of photos in one post. I hope that you will enjoy it.

Day 1: Peace
Day 1: Peace
Waking up in the morning when everyone is asleep is true bliss... especially when the mornings are lighter and the sun is streaming in through the windows I just love it... On Tuesday morning I had Mango and Passionfruit porridge with fresh strawberries and I sprinkled some Linseeds on as they are meant to be good for digestion.

Day 2: Skyline
Day 2: Skyline
I'd actually taken a different photo on my phone but I hadn't realised it didn't show up so decided to take this from my bedroom window which is similar to one you've seen before of course. For the last 2 months the sky has pretty much looked like that where there isn't a cloud in sight but one mass whiteness. There are of course the odd days when you can see them. It just makes you feel depressed as its that feeling its going to snow. That is my little blue car that you can see.

Day 3: Something you wore
Day3
A light blue Shalwar and Kameez with baby pink embroidery and brown pointy healed shoes from Deichmann Shoes which I just had to have when I saw them. The only thing with pointy shoes is that I've worn them to work and the children end up standing on them but don't if I wear normal rounded ones.

Day 4: You (I got mixed up so will have to do the fun one when I am meant to do this you one)
Day4: You
These are my wedding sandals, ever since I got married I've had a thing about fancy footwear even though at times they really hurt my feet and the weather is never appropriate. These ones I bought from Clarks of course along with my other amazing pairs which hopefully you'll get to see more of. Also what makes me is my hobbies, my love of letter writing, crafts and books. I also have a love for colour anyway which is why I added in a variety of pens even if they aren't the brightest ones in the bunch I have left over. I'm also a summer child so flowers are my thing as well as strawberries of course!
